Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Farsify (“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Farsify.

2. Description of Service

Farsify is a mobile application designed to help users learn colloquial Tehrani Farsi (Persian). The App provides structured lessons, vocabulary practice, pronunciation exercises with AI-powered speech evaluation, and conversational practice with an AI tutor. Features may change or be updated over time.

3. User Accounts

To use Farsify, you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration and to update it as needed.

You agree to use Farsify only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

5. Intellectual Property

All content in Farsify—including but not limited to lessons, curriculum, audio recordings, translations, illustrations, and software code—is the intellectual property of Farsify and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without prior written consent.

6. Subscriptions and Billing

Subscription Plans

Farsify is available through the following subscription plans:

Free Trial

New subscribers are eligible for a 7-day free trial. You will not be charged during the trial period. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription and you will be charged the applicable subscription fee.

Auto-Renewal

All subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly) unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the rate of your selected plan.

Managing and Canceling Your Subscription

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID settings: Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions > Farsify. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you will retain access to premium features until then.

All payments are processed through Apple. Refund requests are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policies. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.

Price Changes

We reserve the right to change subscription pricing. If prices change, you will be notified in advance and given the option to accept the new price or cancel your subscription before it takes effect.

7. AI-Generated Content

Farsify uses artificial intelligence services (including Anthropic Claude, OpenAI Whisper, and ElevenLabs) to provide pronunciation feedback, conversation practice, and audio generation. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may occasionally contain errors. The App is intended as an educational tool and should not be the sole resource for learning Farsi. We do not guarantee the accuracy of all AI-generated responses.

8. Audio Recording

Certain features of Farsify require access to your device's microphone for pronunciation practice. By using these features, you consent to the temporary recording and processing of your voice as described in our Privacy Policy. You may choose not to use microphone-based features, though this may limit your experience.

9. Disclaimers

The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Your use of the App is at your sole risk.

Farsify is an educational tool and does not guarantee fluency or any specific level of language proficiency. Learning outcomes depend on individual effort and consistency.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Farsify shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time through the Profile screen. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately, and your data will be deleted as described in our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms in the App. Your continued use of Farsify after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
